2023 President’s Award Presented to Becky Roark & Renee Woody

St. Louis, MO – The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA) held its annual conference in February.  Angie Martin, TPSA 2022-2023 President, presented the President’s Award to Becky Roark, Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC, and Renee Woody, North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Roark has been a member of TPSA for more than 12 years.  She has been a member of the communications committee, assisting with the annual conference, well as a board member.  President Martin said, “Becky has served on the board and provided valuable input to discussions, she has also helped with various committee work during her tenure on the board.”

“Roark’s experience, combined with her knowledge of stewardship issues, was invaluable to me throughout the year,” added Martin.

Woody has been a loyal member of TPSA for more than seven years.  She’s been an active member and participant on the pesticide disposal committee and the conference committee where she served as the conference chair in ’21.

“Woody’s experience and commitment to TPSA throughout the past 3 years has been greatly appreciated.  She was willing to adjust conference plans when needed due to Covid-19.  She’s thorough and committed to stewardship,” stated Martin.

“TPSA recognizes the dedication and support Becky Roark and Renee Woody contributed to the advancement of pesticide stewardship and the continued success of TPSA. I am grateful for their work over the years,” concluded Martin.

The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA), founded in 2000, is an organization of federal, state and local governmental agencies, educational and research institutions, public organizations, private corporations and individuals that are actively involved in different aspects of pesticide stewardship.  The goals of TPSA are to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and longevity of various pesticide stewardship efforts.
