Who can Participate?
There is a very limited agriculture and low overall pesticide usage in Alaska. Alaska does not have a statewide agricultural pesticide disposal program. However, most local solid waste programs do have some type of hazardous waste collection system and some programs may collect unusable agricultural pesticides on a case-by-case basis. A private hazerdous waste firm would need to deal with large volumes of agricultural waste if they occur.

DTSC does not have a pesticide collection program. Our counterpart, the California Department of Registration has historically run the pesticide round up programs with the local governments (mostly counties). The cities and counties also run Household Hazardous waste/ CESGQ waste collection centers that can collect limited quantities of generator self-transported pesticides.

DTSC does not have a pesticide collection program.
