Wisconsin Hits 2,000,000 Pound Pesticide Collection Mark

After 13 years of operation, the Wisconsin Agricultural Clean Sweep Program will cross a significant milestone this spring when it collects its two millionth pound. Only two other states have attained this mark: Texas and Minnesota. This event will be marked with a party and celebration in Jefferson, WI on March 20th. The Governor, EPA-Region V representatives, state legislative leaders, Department of Agriculture representatives along with county officials have been invited to be present. It took Wisconsin eight years to collect one million pounds and only five more years to collect another one million pounds. The need is still there!
