The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance Elects 2023 Leaders

St. Louis, MO-  The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA) recently elected the board of directors for 2023, including officers and four members to serve on the board.

Elected to serve as officers of TPSA for the 2023 year were: President Rachel Bomberger, Washington State University; Vice President Jennifer Thomasen, Bayer Crop Science; and Treasurer Wendy Sue Wheeler, Washington State University.  Angela Martin, Heritage Environmental Services, will serve as the Immediate Past President.

Elected to the board of directors were Jimmy Hughes, Delaware Department of Agriculture, as the government representative; Bob Mann, National Association of Landscape Professionals, as the end-user representative; Michelle Wiesbrook, University of Illinois, as the institution representative; and Glenn Magley, Heritage Environmental, as the at-large representative.  Each will serve a two-year term.

Continuing to serve on the board are Clint Shocklee, Tri-Rinse as the container management representative; Annie Macmillan, Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets, to represent environment/public health; and Nicole Jansen, Corteva Agriscience, as the pesticide industry representative; Jack Ranney, Waste Options Southwest, LLC; is the waste management representative. 

Serving as ex-officio members of the board are Thomas Lopiano, US EPA/Office of Pesticide Programs; and Bonnie McCarvel, TPSA Operations Manager.

The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA), founded in 2000, is an organization of federal, state and local governmental agencies, educational and research institutions, public organizations, private corporations and individuals that are actively involved in different aspects of pesticide stewardship.  The goals of TPSA are to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and longevity of various pesticide stewardship efforts.  Check the TPSA web site for more information.  The 2024 Pesticide Stewardship Conference is scheduled for February 6-8, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri.
