The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance Elects 2019 Leaders

St. Louis, MO –  The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA) recently elected the board of directors for 2019, including the officers and four members to serve on the board of directors.

Elected to serve as officers of TPSA for the 2019 year were: President Steven Brunt, BASF; Vice President Taryn VanWassenhove, New Mexico Department of Agriculture; Secretary Jack Ranney, Stericycle Environmental Solutions; and Treasurer Don Bradley, AgBiome Innovations. Wendy Sue Wheeler, Washington State University, will serve as the Immediate Past President.

Elected to the board of directors were Becky Roark, Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC  as the end user representative; Renee Woody, North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, to represent government; Michelle Wiesbrook, University of Illinois, as the institution representative; and Maria Mirsky, Mirsky Associates, Inc. was re-elected as the at large director.  Each will serve a two year term.

Continuing to serve on the board is Clinton Shocklee, Tri-Rinse, Inc.  as the container management representative; Anne Macmillan, Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food & Markets, the environmental/public health representative; Kimberly Gilbert, Corteva, as the pesticide industry representative, and Angie Martin, Heritage Environmental Services, as the waste management representative.  Serving as ex-officio members of the board are Jennifer Park, US EPA/Office of Pesticide Programs; and Bonnie McCarvel, TPSA Operations Manager.

The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA), founded in 2000, is an organization of federal, state and local governmental agencies, educational and research institutions, public organizations, private corporations and individuals that are actively involved in different aspects of pesticide stewardship.  The goals of TPSA are to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and longevity of various pesticide stewardship efforts.  Check the TPSA web site for more information.  The 2020 Pesticide Stewardship Conference is scheduled for February 4-6, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas.
