St. Louis, MO – The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA) held its annual conference virtually in February and Jay Mirsky, Avalon Associates, received the President’s Award from Kimberly Gilbert.

Mirsky has been a member of TPSA for several years and has contributed to the annual conference planning and communications committees. As chair of the membership committee, not only has he increased membership, but has been instrumental in getting members more involved with TPSA.

President Gilbert said, “Jay has been there to answer my questions and offer suggestions throughout my tenure.  With COVID-19 restricting travel and in-person meetings, TPSA had to pivot and do things differently and Jay was always there to provide innovative solutions.”

“Mirsky’s experience, along with his knowledge of TPSA, was invaluable to me throughout the year,” concluded Gilbert.

The Pesticide Stewardship Alliance (TPSA), founded in 2000, is an organization of federal, state and local governmental agencies, educational and research institutions, public organizations, private corporations and individuals that are actively involved in different aspects of pesticide stewardship.  The goals of TPSA are to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and longevity of various pesticide stewardship efforts.

The 2023 Pesticide Stewardship Conference is scheduled for February 7-9 in Reno, Nevada.
